Citrus County offers programs and incentives to help businesses operate at peak efficiency – in less time and with lower costs.

CareerSource Florida is the state’s innovative partnership for workforce training. Its programs are valued and frequently utilized by relocating and expanding businesses. Quick Response Training (QRT) and Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) help existing and new companies recruit, train and maintain cutting-edge skills to keep pace with new technologies.

These resources are used to find highly skilled candidates for virtually any business, any time of the year.

CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion is the regional division of the state’s workforce system that serves Citrus, Levy, and Marion counties by connecting employers with well-qualified job candidates. The agency colloborates with local economic development, education and community partners to provide workforce-related services, including training grants that help businesses upgrade employee skills. In addition, CareerSource offers value-added services to employers such as recruiting, training, and employee screening.

In Citrus County, the College of Central Florida and Withlacoochee Technical College partner with area businesses. Both institutions offer hands-on, workplace-based training in state of the art facilities. Withlacoochee Technical College is fully accredited and holds industry certification exams on site.

Florida Ready to Work

Florida Ready To Work is a workforce education and economic development program that provides student/jobseekers with a standard credential that certifies their workplace readiness and ability to succeed on the job. The program is being implemented by regional workforce boards, community colleges, high schools, and other workforce development and education partners statewide. Florida Ready is funded by the State of Florida so there is no cost to jobseekers or employers.
